The 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at The Melbourne Clinic offers patients more intensive care, while promoting their safety and well-being. ICU and its processes aim to support increased needs and manage the safety risks (present or emerging) of patients whose mental health has deteriorated on a general ward.
ICU adopts a best practice approach to mental health and offers a variety of therapeutic and recreational groups. Within the unit, patients can expect a trusting and safe environment for the management of their distress and increased vulnerability. A team of highly experienced clinicians will encourage, enable and support patients towards their recovery.
